The Inevitable Lightness
Animals are often attributed human characteristics, as humans are given animal attributes: Strong as an ox, brave as a lion, etc.
My animals have wings arising from unexpected parts of their bodies, wings that drag and lift them: They are their inner impulses. Each animal, each personality, reacts differently to the wings’ drive, which may produce different reactions when encountering the social and personal role they represent: some follow the impulse, some doubt, some resist to it.
The works of this series allude with a touch of humor to the relationship between the being and the essence of the being.
